COZIR-W ( 0-2%, 0-20%, 0-60%,0-100%)
Flow Through Or Diffusion

The COZIR-W is a CO2 module for OEM applications that represents a breakthrough in low power gas detection making it ideal for battery powered, energy harvesting or wireless applications with tight energy budgets requiring long operating life. This Infrared LED based sensor offers a number of distinctive advantages over conventional CO2 sensors utilizing incandescent sources and optical filters.

Key features of the COZIR-W CO2 sensor include:

  • Available in flow through or diffusion configuration.
  • Continuous power consumption of 3.5 mW sampling at 2Hz.
  • Instant warm up facilitates activating the sensor on timed duty cycle to further reduce energy consumption for battery operation. With reasonable duty cycling (e.g. 15 min) battery life can be extended to 5+ years.
  • A truly solid state sensor that is shock and vibration resistant.
  • Easily activated zero or ambient calibration.
  • Options for on-board temperature and humidity measurement and extended temperature operating range of -13 to 131F (-25 to 55C).
  • Runs cool, there is no heat generated that can interfere with temperature or humidity measurements.
  • Serial output or optional Voltage output.

Serial Communication Protocol

The PC Software allows users to trend the output from all Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) products including the COZIR-A, COZIR-W, MISIR, and SPRINTIR modules. It also supports calibration of the sensor and insertion of serial commands to configure various aspects of the sensor.

The Windows compatible program is free. A USB cable is available that will connect the sensor to a PC and that provides a serial interface and power to the sensor. To order the cable from AirTest specify model COZIR-Kit and specify the GSS module you will be using it with.
